Synopsis: VA Pre-Solicitation Notice for VISN 06, Pharmaceutical Return and Disposal Services
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO 06), Hampton, VA on behalf of Salisbury VA Health Care System, VA Medical Center intends to solicit Small Business Set-Aside for Pharmaceutical return and disposal services for a reverse pharmaceutical distributor for the W.G. Bill Hefner Veterans Affairs medical Center located at 1601 Brenner Avenue, Salisbury, NC 28144-2515. This pre-solicitation announcement publicizes the Department of Veterans Affairs intent, to solicit pharmaceutical return and disposal services, a Firm-Fixed price contract is anticipated to result from the soliciation.
The VA anticipates issuing a Small Business Set-Aside award solicitation for this requirement. The solicitation will be available for download at http://www.SAM.gov Contract Opportunities website. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading copies of the solicitation (and any subsequent amendments) from that website, and no hard copies will be made available. The solicitation will provide instructions to potential offerors about the proposal submission process. Prospective Offeror(s) are encouraged to register their interest in the solicitation on the SAM.gov website so that they are notified of the issuance of the solicitation and any amendments. Quotes will be evaluated for award after the soliciation closing date and time.
In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, System for Award Management, offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database under the applicable NAICS Code. Firms may obtain SAM information at https://www.sam.gov. To be eligible for award, contractors must be registered in SAM. Registration is free and potential offerors are encouraged to visit the SAM website and register as soon as possible.
The applicable NAICS Code is 325412-Pharmaceutical Preparation Manufacturing with a small business size standard of 1,300 employees. The Product Service classification (PSC) code is Q517. This requirement will be solicited on a competitive basis. A single firm-fixed price contract will be awarded. The VA will consider for evaluation only quotes from offerors who are pharmaceutical reverse distributor sources found to be responsive and responsible.
The VA will only consider proposals from contractor who is a certified reverse pharmaceutical distributor.
