One-Two Sentences
The Shepard Administration Building, formerly known as the Clyde R. Hoey Administration Building, was completed in 1929 and is the oldest building on Campus. The building is one of eleven buildings contributing to NCCU's Historic District. The project will address the restoration of the windows and wood detailing. North Carolina Central University is requesting proposals for qualifications from Architectural firms (Consultants) for The James Shepard (formerly Clyde R. Hoey) Administration Building Windows Replacement project. The Consultant(s) must have the requisite experience and training in historic preservation or relevant field to oversee the project work. The RFQ shall be maximum 20 pages, include Letter of Interest, relevant information about Consultant(s) experience in historic preservation and the SF-330 form. All RFQ submittals shall be provided electronically in PDF format on a flash drive. A Pre-proposal meeting will be held on May 24, 2023, at 2:00 PM. Meeting location will be in front of Shepard Administration Building, Main Entrance. The RFQs shall be submitted to: Tim Williams, Assoc. AIA, G.C.
