CLT Aircraft Rescue & Firefighting Facility Design
This project will provide a new aircraft rescue and firefighting facility (ARFF) at Charlotte Douglas International Airport. The facility will be constructed in a green field site within the airfield. Final site location of the ARFF will be determined during the design process. This facility will function as 24 hours, dual use for both aircraft rescue and the structural fire rescue with Charlotte Fire Department.
The project scope includes the following items:
Preliminary programming and planning for 7-10 vehicle bay facility
Overall Site and Vehicle Maneuvering Layout
Conceptual design
Schematic design
Construction documents
Permitting and bidding
Construction administration
Additional services as required
