THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. ALL CAPABLE LARGE AND SMALL BUSINESSES THAT ARE INTERESTED ARE ENCOURAGED TO SEND IN A CAPABILITY PACKAGE.
This Sources Sought RFI is hereby synopsized pursuant to FAR Subpart 5.2 and FAR Part 10 to ensure the pending solicitation enhances competition. Responses will be utilized to determine if any competitive Small Business Set-aside opportunities exist. All Small Business Set-aside categories will be considered. Otherwise, this market research tool is being used to identify potential and eligible firms, of all sizes, prior to determining the competitive method of acquisition and issuance of a solicitation.
Any resultant solicitation(s) will be released on SAM.gov. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor this website for additional information as the direct method of communication with the Government. A pre-solicitation notice will be issued pursuant to FAR Subpart 5.204, and the Government intends to issue a draft solicitation, if time allows. There is high schedule risk to mitigate via the pending solicitation and source selection phases.
REQUIREMENT:
Commander, Fleet Readiness Centers, Procurement Group, Patuxent River, MD., is seeking potential vendors for Fleet Readiness Center East (FRCE) located in Havelock, NC, to perform the resurfacing process to the Rolls Royce F-402 Engine Low Pressure Compressor (LPC) Stage 2 and Stage 3 Vanes
The purpose of this contract is for the cleaning, inspection, and repair of LPC Stage 2 and Stage 3 Vanes, and application of hard coating to the inner platform side faces. The contractor shall perform all cleaning, inspections, and repairs (IAW) reference (a), WP 012 03, reference (b), WP 066 00, and reference (c), WP 023 00 and WP 023 01, prior to proceeding with the modification or recondition processes. The Contractor will use MSRR 9507/304(XJS) Tungsten Carbide/Cobalt Coating (LW-1N40), detonation flame deposit surfaces marked BB (inner platform side faces), to achieve required dimensions per the Statement of Work (SOW).
Functional support areas and tasks are outlined in the attached DRAFT SOW, Attachment 1.
INCUMBENT INFORMATION:
The pending acquisition is a follow-on effort to, N0024418D0013, which was awarded by NAVSUP FLC SAN DIEGO to PAS Technologies Inc. (Cage Code 4GMJ6). The previously awarded contract was awarded as a sole source, Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Requirements Contracts. The ordering period for N0024418D0013 will expire on 30 June 2023.
