This is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and FAR 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are request and a written solicitation will not be issued. Instructions to offerors (Tailored for quotes under FAR Part 13), evaluation criteria, and all applicable FAR Provisions and Clauses are attached.

Where, Federal Acquisition Regulation Clause Language is inconsistent with FAR 13.004, Legal Effect of Quotations, the language is hereby tailored in accordance with FAR 12.302 to be consistent with a Request for Quotations (RFQ). This tailoring includes but is not limited to the following: In accordance with FAR 13.004, a quotation is not an offer, and any clause provision to the contrary that are hereby modified to be consistent with FAR 13.004. Where the word "offer/offeror” or a derivative of that word appears, it is changed to "quote/quoter” or a derivative of that word.

FAR 52.237-1 -- Site Visit (APR 1984)

Offerors or quoters are urged/expected to do a site visit at the location where the services are to be perform and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award.

USCG Base Elizabeth City has a requirement to: Tent and Stage Equipment Rental for Coast Guard Day Event.

1. Is there going to be a scheduled site visit day or do we schedule that on our own with you? Schedule with me once awarded.


2. Will any of the tents need any sidewalls, doors, lights, fans, etc.? No


3. Do any of the tents need ground cover/turf protection flooring? No


4. How tall would you like the stage to be? 24”-36” off the ground.


5. Which tents can be staked and which tents must be weighted? Undetermined. (Please see map and use best judgement) If it’s on a road probably need weights, if its on grass probably stakes.


6. What are the dates for install and removal? 2-4 days before and 1-2 days after.


7. Are all the tents to be staked, weighted or a little bit of both? Little of both depending on the area.


8. What are the restrictions for entering the base? Visitor request must be filled out 3 weeks in advance with all crew members information and submitted to me.


9. Do you also need tables, chairs, and linens? No
