The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Medical Center (FMC Butner), intends to award a sole source purchase order to PetNet, Durham, NC., to provide isotopes for the PET Scans. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 - only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements. The NAICS code is 325412. To the best of our knowledge, PetNet is only know local vendor that is within close proximity of the institution to deliver this product. The isotopes have a half life of 108 minutes and must be delivered within that time frame in order to be utilize for Pet scans. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations, as no solicitation document is available. However any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give a written or fax notification to the Contracting Officer within five (15) calendar days from the date of this published synopsis.
