We are seeking information for market research purposes only. The Government will not pay for any information solicited. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 6 is conducting market research to identify potential sources for Architect-Engineer services to complete the below scope of work. The place of performance will be the hospital campus located at the Durham NC Medical Center Campus. Forward all questions to the point of contact identified below. This is not a pre-solicitation notice, but the magnitude of construction for this project is currently between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 this is subject to revision prior to release of a solicitation. The proposed NAICS 541330 - Engineering Services is applicable to this acquisition; with a size standard of $25.5 Million. The proposed PSC code is C1DA Architect and Engineering Construction: Hospitals and Infirmaries Scope of Work: The Architectural and Engineering (A/E) consultant shall provide all necessary A/E services to prepare complete contract drawings, specifications, technical reports, cost estimates, construction schedule plan (E.g., Gantt Chart), site visits and technical construction support associated with the F-Wing Roof Replacement in Building one at the Durham Veterans Affairs Health Care System (DVAHCS). The existing F-wing roofs, installed in 2003 (R1FF and R1FG) and 2005 (R1FA-R1FE), as provided in Table 1, are at the end of their useful lives. These roofs are either Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO), Ethylene Propylene Diene (EDPM), or ballast roofing system type. Several occurrences of water leaks and infiltration into the Cardiac Cath Lab have canceled multiple patient appointments and prevented patients from receiving life-saving patient care. Occurrences of leaks have also been reported in other areas of the F-Wing or adjacent wings on the 3rd floor, affecting patient care and staff. To mitigate existing and future water leaks, work will comprise, but not be limited to, the following specialties required to satisfy the proposed project scope and objectives stated in the next section: architectural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and other pertinent specialties. Total time to accomplish Schematics, DDs, and CDs through final reproduced bid documents shall be 180 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed corresponding to the Design Kick-off meeting. The schedule is negotiable so that the timeframes are mutually agreeable to the A/E and VA.
