Town of Bladenboro is soliciting a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a Benefits Administrator/Broker Services. At this time, we are not requesting specific rates for our benefits; however, Section V. Questionnaire, #12 asks for a current rate sheet of an existing client. We are in search of an administrator/broker with evidence that they are able to provide the needed benefits administrator/broker services for Town of Bladenboro and its employees. After a benefits administrator/broker is selected, the town will share any available claims information that may be needed to move forward with shopping selected services. The administrator/broker must have a proven track record of successfully providing the outlined “Scope of Services” for NC public sector employers of comparable size. The Town of Bladenboro has never had a comprehensive benefits administrator/broker and wishes to proceed with a five (5) year contract and renewable for up to two (2) years with the selected firm.
This RFP does not, and should not, indicate in any way that we are dissatisfied with the services, plans, and/or products of our current broker; instead, we are ensuring that our employees are continually offered the best benefit services and products available. The Town of Bladenboro currently has 15 full-time staff positions and provides medical, dental, vision, and life insurance at no cost to our employees. At this time, the town does not provide any supplemental insurances but is interested moving forward. Employees are paid weekly. |
