Qualified historic research professionals would conduct research and complete a comprehensive report on the Fourth Ward which should include maps, photographs, images, graphics, to illustrate a compiled narrative based on relevant geographic, demographic, historic, and developmental information. Raleigh’s Fourth Ward was originally a political precinct located in the southwestern section of Raleigh’s original 1792 city boundary that grew into a predominantly African American neighborhood by the turn of the 20th century.
