The University wishes to enhance campus and public safety by installing license plate recognition (LPR) technology across key areas of the campus. This technology has proven to be a deterrent to criminal activity in and around installation sites and will serve as a forensic tool to assist in locating suspects and solving crimes after they occur. The cameras will record the exterior of vehicles for the purpose of capturing license plate information.
