A pre-bid conference will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at 10:00 AM at the Eastside Waste Water Treatment Plant located at 5898 Riverdale Dr, Jamestown NC 27282. City staff will be available to discuss the project and answer pertinent questions including MWBE requirements. All prospective bidders are urged and cautioned to attend so as to prepare bids based upon a full understanding of project specifications.

As part of the pre-bid meeting, attendees will be given the option of going down into the final clarifier. The City of High Point will provide a ladder and an anchor point for fall protection, but nothing else.

Any contractor who wishes to examine the clarifier lower structure must meet the following requirements:

• The person to enter the clarifier shall be qualified (in the contractor’s opinion) in the use of fall protection.
• The person who is to enter into the clarifier shall provide their own fall harness and appropriate retracting lanyard.
• Appropriate fall protection shall be used by all personnel while entering or leaving the clarifier.
• The fall protection equipment is to be used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
• The contractor shall be solely responsible for attaching their lanyard to the provided anchor point and removing it afterward.
