East Carolina University in conjunction with ECU Health is seeking the services of a qualified design firm to provide design services for a new 42,000 square foot Medical Examiner Complex. Preference will be given to firms with previous Medical Examiner design experience. The facility will include space for 80+ bodies, dedicated decomposition holding, 3 autopsy rooms, 1 BSL-3 containment suite, autopsy viewing gallery, imaging services to include radiology and future CT, enclosed transportation facilities, office space for 5 pathologists, 6 autopsy assistants, 2 fellows, & death investigators and counselors.
