Pender County is soliciting Statements of Qualifications from NC Licensed engineering firms to provide the design, engineering and permitting for a design-bid-build construction project of a park expansion in Burgaw, NC. This project is for the completion of Phase 1 at the Central Pender Park located just north of the intersection of Old Savannah Rd & Hwy 117, 60 acres on the east side of Hwy 117 (3378 N US Hwy 117, Burgaw, NC 28425). Funding for this park is through PARTF Grant and County Funds and will include the construction of site utilities, restroom/concession stand, picnic shelter, playground, (4) multi-purpose fields with lights, multi-use path and parking lot. The project budget is $2,825,000 and completion is required by September 2025. Walker St., Burgaw, NC 28425. SOQs sent by US Mail should be submitted to PO Box 1578, Burgaw, NC 28425. Responses are due no later than May 17, 2023 at 2pm and must be labeled “RFQ # 23-242”. There will not be a formal opening. Interviews with short list firms will be conducted on May 22-24, 2023. MWBE or HUB certified firms are encouraged to participate. Pender County reserves the right to waive formalities and interview responding firms, and to reject any or all responses.
