ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

IFB 2023-13 CONVENIENCE CENTER PROJECT

Pursuant to NC G.S. 143-129, sealed Bids for the construction of the Moore County Convenience Center project (County Bid No. 2023-13) will be received by Moore County, at the 2nd Floor of the Historic Courthouse located at 1 Courthouse Square, Carthage, NC 28327 until 4:00 pm local time on July 25, 2023, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. Bids may be submitted by mail or courier. Bids received after this time will not be accepted.

The proposed project is for the development of a new Waste/Recycling Convenience Center. It will include all site preparation for the current project along with provisions to serve a future building at the site. Specifically, the project will include earthwork and erosion control for the convenience center and access drive; Water service including a tap to the existing water main; Sewer service line for future use; Stormwater structures and piping; Cast-in-place concrete retaining walls and pads; Electrical service; compaction and water collection containers; along with other site appurtenances.

A Pre-bid conference will be held at 2:00 pm local time on June 26, 2023, at the 2nd Floor of the Historic Courthouse located at 1 Courthouse Square, Carthage, NC 28327 Attendance at the pre-bid conference is encouraged.

All bids must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of (Bid Bond Percentage) of the total amount bid made payable to Moore County. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 90 consecutive calendar days after bid opening except as provided in Instructions to Bidders. Bidders must be licensed contractors in the state(s) in which the work is to be completed.
